History

Subject Leader: Laurence Atkinson (latkinson@cashesgreen-pri.gloucs.sch.uk)

History at Cashes Green

History is an important part of our curriculum because we believe the learning of history enables our children to develop an understanding of where we have come from and how we can learn lessons from the past. Children should grow their knowledge of historical contexts, and understand where different people, dynasties and civilisations have fitted into history. Through history, our children learn valuable skills in observation, analysis, justification and critique, helping them to question and challenge what they are told in an ever-changing online world.
