Reminders/Class Notices:
P.E. - Monday
Reading Records - signatures will be counted each Thursday. We can read to ourselves but the record must be signed by an adult.
Wellbeing Walk
As part of our writing this term we are looking at the 5 steps to Mental Wellbeing and how they help us. As part of our walk we tried to cover the 5 steps.
Take Notice - we saw the canal and railway line and looked at our beautiful views we have from Cashes Green.
Be Actice - we had an hour long walk and a 10 minute play at the park. We also saw the bike park at Victory Park and talked about how we could go there.
Keep Learning - we looked at the railway, canal and Ebley Mill which we learnt about last term.
Connect - the whole walk we talked and played with our friends.
Give - whilst we were walking a few of us gave some of our time to pick up litter that we saw to make the environment better for everyone

Year 5 Street Child alernative endings
In our writing this term we have written our own endings to the book and we have made them into our own class book.
In DT this term we have been designing and making bridges.
We did some design work using spaghetti and marshmallows and then we made our bridges using scrap materials. Check out our pictures below.

SKILL ZONE
Year 5 had an amazing time at SKill Zone learning how to keep safe. All the children were amazing and enjoyed learning how to keep safe in all the different scenarios. As the pictures show we improved our knowledge and scored better on the quz at the end!
Randwick Woods
As part of our persuasive writing unit we visited Randwick Woods. We are now writing some letters to Stroud District Council to persuade them not to build houses on the land!
